Excalibur is the legendary sword having belonged to King Arthur, who's famous for having obtained his kingship from pulling a sword from a stone, an act that could only be performed by a true king. Excalibur was obtained during his kingship from the Lady of the Lake, she calls it,
"Excalibur, that is as to say as Cut-steel," and he takes it from a hand that rises from the lake. Whilst dying, Athur asks Sir Bedivere/Sir Griflet to return the sword to the lake, thinking it to be too precisious to throw away Sir Bedivere/Sir Griflet lies twice and each time Arthur asks him to descibe what happened. He says the sword sunk to the bottom of the lake. Arthur scowls him and once again tells him to throw it into the lake, this time Sir Bedivere/Sir Griflet does as ordered and a hand catches the sword before it hits the lakes surface and drags it into the depths...
Appearing in many tales around the world and said to possess magic qualities, Excalibur was truely a sword fit for a King and would become one of the most famous swords known to man.
