Due to his propensity for staying out of the spotlight, he is not very well known, but those who know him say he is incredibly kind and has won the devotion of many. It is clearly hinted that Ayato was the one who motivated Thoma to the point where the latter received a Vision, as seen in Hirotatsu's statement that he continues to serve the Yashiro Commision in order to repay the charity that he showed him and his master. Ayato has made it clear that he places a high value on loyalty and obedience (thus his love for dogs), and it has been clearly indicated that there have been many attempts on his life, so he prioritises those two qualities in order to protect himself from competing clans and organisations.
