At this point, we all know Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is. It being one of the most popular anime at the moment all around the globe, even the non-watchers may already have encountered a thing or two about it. Demon Slayer have been around for some time, and its popularity got it a spot of being a trending topic on the internet with every release, memes, reviews, photos, video clips and more. With a wide audience base with both avid fans and casual anime watchers. Safe to say that we all know it is everywhere and its popularity is just quite starting to grow bigger.
Made around 2016 as a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, and later on made into an anime tv series by Ufotable in 2019, followed by the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, premiered on October 16, 2020, and now an ongoing second season, which is divided into two arcs; the Mugen Train arc and Entertainment District Arc that has around seven episodes each.
The story takes place in Taishō-era Japan, where a secret society, known as the Demon Slayer Corps, has been waging a secret war against demons for centuries. The demons are former humans who sold their humanity in exchange for power, and they feed on humans and possess supernatural abilities such as super strength, magic, and regeneration.
Demon Slayer: Kimetu no Yaiba follows the story of Tanjiro Kamado, a kind-hearted and intelligent teenage boy from the mountains. When his family were attacked and killed by the demons, he and his little sister Nezuko survived. However, Nezuko being attacked by the demons is slowly making her one, but still surprisingly shows signs of human emotion and thought. Because of this, Tanjiro trained to become one of the Demon Slayer corps. And once he got in, he and Nezuko, hypnotized to bring harm to humans and sometimes helps Tanjiro in fights, begins work by getting rid of demons.
Later on, a cure for Nezuko is done However, on a huge battle, Tanjiro was brutally wounded, making him a demon to attack the corps. However, with the efforts of his allies and Nezuko who has been fully restored to a human, Tanjiro is turned back into human.
The anime touches the adventure of the siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko in finding the cure and fighting Demons, as well as the friends and experiences they had along the way. Which some of them are Zenitsu Agatsuma, a cowardly boy later on trained in Thunder breathing sword style, Kanao Tsuyuri, is the protegé of Shinobu Kochō, the current Insect Hashira, and is being trained as a Tsuguko, or successor to the Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, the current water Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, the current insect Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, the current flame Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, the current love Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, the current Mist Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, the current stone Hashira, Obanai Iguro the current serpent Hashira, and Sanemi Shinazugawa, the current wind Hashira.
The costume for this anime is just as known impactful as well. The pink kimono, black long coat, long black with orange at the bottom part hair and a piece of green bamboo on the mouth is a signature look for the adorable Nezuko. Then, the Corp uniform jumpsuit is a given on the Hashima and corp members, at some times has a few alteration or slight changes on some characters which will reflect more of their character in the show. Another thing that plays a big part on these corp members are their kimono coat that they put above their uniforms. There’s a unique coat design for every character. Tanjiro has a green and black checkered coat,
Aside from the anime itself, the show is known for iconic fictional items that we bring back to life such as the cosplay costumes of these characters, and some of the accessories such as the miniature weapons and more. Aside from that, the love over Demon Slayer is never ending as different merch items inspired by the show is kept being made such as action figures, hoodies, bags, shirts, and even display posters, stickers, badges, and plush toys. Merch items are such a must-have for every huge fan but still worth checking out if you have the likings for the show’s aesthetic and even casually interested with the show.
The show is known to be entertaining in terms of its colorful, visually appealing art style, energy, as well as its action, emotion, and adventure-packed nature. One of many engaging anime shows and no wonder why lots of people are hooked on it We can learn a thing or two about the characters and how the plot progresses. The opening soundtrack for this show is really catchy as well. It can be everywhere. Can be found through different viral memes, youtube, and tiktok edits and content. Mugen Train was a remarkable movie as well. Good plot, emotional ending, really a good formula for a talk-of-the-town piece of work that fans and even non-fans could enjoy.

Both the manga and its anime adaptation have received critical acclaim. The anime series has received numerous awards and is considered one of the best anime of the 2010s. In 2020, the Demon Slayer franchise generated an estimated annual sales revenue of ¥1 trillion ($8.75 billion), becoming one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.
