You probably have seen or even just heard about this series because of how popular this was. Known for Characters Izuku Midoriya, Himiko Toga, and Shoto Todoroki, My Hero Academia sets place in a world where ‘quirks’ or special powers/abilities are common. A ‘quirkless’ Izuku would not let his lack of power to stop his dreams of becoming a great pro hero and defeat super villains, hence his adventure began.
This anime is a story of a boy who’s dreams of becoming a pro hero are finally coming true in the form of his hero School. The series has been called many things because it’s setting is based on the popular Shonen Jump manga. The anime is sure to go beyond its Shonen manga setting and draw viewers in for more action and drama. My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhuman manga series composed and showed by Kōhei Horikoshi. The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a kid brought into the world without superpowers in this present reality where they have become ordinary, however who actually fantasies about turning into a hero himself. He is explored by All Might, Japan’s most noteworthy legend, who picks Midoriya as his replacement and offers his Quirk with him subsequent to perceiving his true capacity, and later assists with enlisting him in a renowned secondary school for saints in preparing.

The Series:
My Hero Academia was created by Kōhei Horikoshi who also happens to be the author of the wildly successful and popular, Boku no Hero Academia manga. The story revolves around Izuku Midoriya who, due to his bad luck with meeting the right people at the right time every time he needs help when getting into a pinch. He is always late for his own class, as well as many other occasions that he should have been prepared for. This unfortunate encounter with a villain leads him to meet a man that sees great potential in Izuku, who gives the boy a new power: the ability to become a “Quirkless”, similar to the idea of the “Mentally Ill” but not necessarily trying to harm them just to use them as an experiment. Izuku after being diagnosed with his quirkless status decides he is going to become a hero someday. He will make his dreams come true no matter what it takes. With his new quirk, he dreams of becoming the top hero someday.
There are also other students in the same school like Katsuki Bakugo who is just as determined as Izuku to become #1, despite being from the same school and from childhood best friends with Izuku. He will stop at nothing to prove himself better than anyone else. However, their rivalry is not intense because their primary motivation for wanting to be a hero is different.
Due to the popularity of the series, films like My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (2018), My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising (2019), and My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission (2021), spinoff mangas like My Hero Academia: Smash!!, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions were made. As well as a 2021 live adaptation, a video game My Hero Academia: Battle for All, and even a stage musical My Hero Academia: The “Ultra” Stage.
Both the first Japanese cast and the English name got acclaim from critics. Praising it for its action, story, and characters up to the animation, character developments, and the emotional weight. Flavor evaluated both similarly, expressing that the name cast every one of the significant characters well overall, however censuring a portion of the foundation characters.
