If you have been an anime fan for a while, I am sure that this series wouldn’t miss on your radar. I just finished watching this show a few days ago and I can say that it has been a very interesting ride.

It follows the story of a high school boy Saiki Kusuo, with an extraordinary psychic abilities, making it difficult to live a normal life as these abilities often gets him into complicated situations, trouble or in some cases, he’ll need to make use of his powers to make things in order and save people, especially himself sometimes. As a high school guy, he has quite normal family and made a few friends, special in their own ways. The show is a series of mini episodes where he goes about his day, mostly with his friends or family, filled with conflicts that’ll need him to use his abilities. With that kind of abilities to read minds, control everything surrounds him, and the need to save the world, no wonder why he’ll be happy to live a normal dude’s life.

The Disastrous life of Saiki K. takes us through the daily life of a high school boy who lives in the town of Yotsuya, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

The show follows his everyday life as a high schooler with psychic abilities. He has many friends and supporters as well as enemies who hate him because of his powers. The plot shows how he deals with these situations and how they affect his every day life while trying to avoid any inconvenience caused by his abilities.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. is an anime adapted from the manga series created by Shūichi Asō and published in Weekly Shōnen Jump. The story centers around a 16-year-old boy named Kusuo Saiki who has supernatural powers and is able to see what other people are thinking when he touches them, but he usually has no control over it. He lives with his parents who do not know about his powers at all, nor does anyone else for that matter.

The series as well streamed and gained popularity through Netflix, followed a Netflix Original anime sequel Saiki K. Reawakened.

He has a large number of friends, and is on good terms with most of them. People often think of Saiki as a loner or an antihero, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. A tankōbon is a Japanese term that refers to a compilation volume or collected edition of comics and/or manga; in this case, it refers to the six original video animations that were released with limited editions of the manga’s volumes.

To date, only one movie has been made based on this series: The Disaster Life Of Saiki K: The Movie – It Will Definitely Happen! (released April 20th 2018). The movie received an R rating from Eiga Rube from its distributors Toho Company Ltd., which means anyone under 17 years old may not watch it without being accompanied by an adult guardian or parent (source). It also ran for 116 minutes (2 hours 16 minutes) and had 2 language tracks – Japanese and English subtitles.
