Sayu is a ninja who appears to be perpetually sleep-deprived and utilises her abilities to avoid obligations and labour. She's terribly unhappy with her height and thinks that sleep will restore all her vitality and make her taller. She perfected her ninjutsu so she could live by this rule and had as much time as possible to nap.

Although she is particularly notorious for her apparent slowness, the Shuumatsuban members are aware of her loyalty to their cause because she would never act against to their values and wouldn't procrastinate on topics that are of the utmost importance. Given that she looked up to her sensei and felt lonely and confused when they left, Ayaka thinks that Sayu's idleness resulted from their unexpected departure.

Sayu is an exceptionally competent ninja, yet he generally takes care of reconnaissance and other small jobs.
